The Mission: Speed and Throughput!

The Q Model IVB is designed for high volume production trimming of circuit boards with up to 1.5 inches of excess length. The IVB has a precision trim path of 10.125" on PCB's of up to 12.5" wide and any length. Machine features easy set-up, feed, and operation.

At 18 feet per minute conveyor speed, an operator will be kept busy loading the IVB. Proper insertion of the PCB is assured when the conveyor gently grasps the circuit board and pulls it into the machine, precision trimmed assembly is trimmed and brushed and delivered to the output end of the machine.

Safety is an important issue to consider when purchasing a lead trimmer and Q Corporation addresses this issue.
1) Safety stop panels at load and delivery end of machine.
2) Hinged safety cover on top of machine with systems lock-out when cover is open.
3) Machine has dynamic fail-safe breaking system which stops all functions within 2 seconds after command.
4) All safety shut-offs require manual restart operation to start drive systems.
5) Dynamic braking - within 1 second - to full stop whenever either push button is released.

The Model IVB offers...

• 5" to 12.5 "PCB width is easily set into machine by handwheel adjustment. Handwheel is adjusted for nominal grasp of PCB width without creating warp. PCB thickness of .063 nominal is handled without any adjustment.
• Cutter height setting is conveniently placed on machine top operating area for easy placement of setting fixture furnished with machine. Adjustable from .025 to .125 range.
• Conveyor speed selected from 1 thru 18 feet per minute, conveyor runs whenever machine is in operation. Provisions are included for reversing conveyor to free possible jams.
